Stryper "To Hell With The Amps - The Unplugged Tour"
City Winery Philadelphia presents Stryper "To Hell With The Amps - The Unplugged Tour" live on June 4th at 7:30pm
Iconic rock outfit Stryper is embarking on their first-ever acoustic tour: To Hell with The Amps - The Unplugged Tour 2024. This show features all the band members in a story-tellers style performance of fan-favorites and greatest hits.
When it comes to groundbreaking bands in the Christian hard-rock genre, Stryper is renowned for its distinctive brand of "heavenly metal", extraordinary crossover success and venerable endurance. The group ascended to prominence in the mid 1980s with Billboard and MTV hits like "Calling On You", "Honestly" and "Always There For You." Stryper's career album sales exceed 10 Million worldwide, including 1986's multi-platinum and Grammy Nominated release To Hell with the Devil. The band also made history when it became the first band ever to notch two songs, simultaneously, in MTV's Top 10.
Today, 40 years after emerging from the southern California nightclub scene, the foursome continues to record, tour, and perform for devoted fans around the globe. Comprising three original members including brothers Michael Sweet (vocals / guitar), Robert Sweet (drums), and Oz Fox (guitar), along with veteran bassist Perry Richardson (formerly of Firehouse), the group continues to create their finest, most powerful music yet.
