Noah Pierre Band w/ AJAY
City Winery Philadelphia presents Noah Pierre Band w/ AJAY live on January 7th at 7:30pm
Noah Pierre Band has been on the scene since 2021. Drawing on influences from jazz to soul to rock to hip hop, the group has a sound defined as black music. They released their debut album, Frames, in August 2023 and embarked on a three show run in support of it, which included a headlining performance at The 8x10 and two sold out shows at The Pocket D. C. & AG Studios in NY. They are excited to return to A Die Musik. The group is compromised of Noah Pierre on guitar & lead vocals, Mike Paxton on alto/tenor saxophone, Jordon Stanley on drums, Ricky Jefferson on keys and backing vocals, and Oliver Unger on electric bass.
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, AJAY, encompasses the vast, experimental nature of modern sound design with the soul-drenched ingredients that defined Philadelphia for decades. The self-produced artist's vulnerable falsetto vocals bring the nostalgia of 60s and 70s R&B into a new era of existential lyricism. While acting as touring guitarist/bassist to Alternative R&B artist, Orion Sun, as well as performing with local supergroup, Omar's Hat, AJAY has been able to create and expand upon his own unique perspective.
