Maestro The Cellist
City Winery Philadelphia presents Maestro The Cellist live on August 18th at 7:30pm
Maestro is a unique recording and performing artist from the
Washington DC area. His love for music manifested at a young age when
he picked up the cello in the 4th grade not knowing where it would lead
him. His passion for music and the cello continued throughout his
college years graduating from the George Mason University School of
Music with a Degree in Music and Strings Pedagogy. Maestro has been
called a genre bending cellist that breaks down barriers and
stereotypes associated with the instrument. When Maestro performs,
he leaves audiences captivated as he harmonizes the rich, enchanting
sounds of the cello with different genres of music through original
compositions and popular covers. From the National Harbor, to the
Waldorf Astoria, from Las Vegas to Las Angeles, from Martha’s Vineyard to
New Hampshire, Maestro has performed from coast to coast introducing
the cello to new audiences and gaining thousands of fans. When Maestro
isn’t performing you can find him molding the minds of aspiring
musicians at his music education non-profit, of which he owns and
operates under the name of Mark’s Music Prep.
